Dog

Period 2
Dear Mom and Dad,
I suggest we get a dog for a pet because if we do keep the dog or get one it will guard our house from robbers so nobody can steal from us ever. So our will be safe with the dog by our side and we have a 65% chance of not being robbed that is really good. The second reason is that they can save our lives or tells us when an earthquake is going to happen about a minute before an earthquake happens. Third reason is that I really want a dog.
Now I am going to tell you why we should we should keep the dog it will be good if you can have safe house. So that would be really good if you had a guard dog. Next is that if we had a dog we can be ready for an earthquake. Then we really really really want a dog.
My concerns are that if we had a dog we could have safer house

Period 2
The story Becky & the Wheels and Brake was written by James Berry. It tells of a girl named Becky who really wants a bike but can’t get one until the end of the story Becky is a credible character. She shows that she is credible through what she feels, says, and does.
Becky is believable because she wants to fit in with the other children. For example, Becky thinks,” I only want to be with Nat, Aldo, Jimmy, and Ben.’’
”They all have bikes, and she wants one too, so she can ride and play with them. This proves Becky is credible because lots of people have a time when they want something that will help them fit in with other kids.
Becky is a believable character because she keeps begging her mom for a bike. For example ”Over and over I told my mom I told my mom I wanted a bike.’’ A while later she tells her mother. ”I still want to have a bike badly.” In order to get what she wants, Becky she has to ask several times and give reasons for how she feels towards the item. This shows Becky is believable because many kids love begging for things until they get them.
Finally, another reason that Becky is a credible character is because she always fought with her friend. As an example, Becky thinks, ‘‘For the first time me and Shirnette had a real fight because I hated her the most.’’Shirnette wanted to get back at Becky because Becky had put a centipede up her shirt, so she got even by putting a cockroach in Becky’s Blouse. This proves Becky is a realistic character because a lot of best friends get fights, but then they make up.
In conclusion Becky, the main character in ’’Becky and the Wheel and Brake Boys,’’ is believable because of her emotions, her words, and her actions. That means that she is your average child
